International Holocaust Remembrance Day at the Museum
On January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the museum hosted a screening of the documentary film “Following the Jäger Report” by Boris Maftsir. The film was introduced by Daumantas Levas Todesas, Chairman of the Association of Jewish Cultural Heritage. The event was also attended by Gennady Kofman, Chairman of the Panevėžys Jewish Community, and Gercas Žakas, Chairman of the Kaunas Jewish Community. Museum’s Opening Hours During the Holidays
During the holiday period, the museum’s opening hours will change. On December 24–26 and January 1, the museum will be closed. On December 23 and 31, the museum will operate on reduced hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On other days, visitors are welcome according to the regular schedule, Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

After more than 80 years, a Hanukkah candle was lit again in Šeduva
On the evening of December 16, the third Hanukkah candle was lit at the Šeduva Jewish History Museum, The Lost Shtetl. The ceremony was attended by members of the Panevėžys and Šiauliai Jewish communities as well as Rabbi Yizchak Pevzner, head of the Chabad Lubavitch Center (KSD).

On Display: A 1920s Šeduva Jewish Community Chronicle
On display at our museum is the record book of the Šeduva Jewish Community Council, written between 1920 and 1923. This unique artifact has arrived from the Archives of YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York, on loan for six months.
