Explore the Lost Shtetl Museum together with our guides and educators

Scroll

The guided tour leads visitors through the exhibition, which features historic and religious objects, documents, photographs, and video materials. Please indicate language preferences (English or Lithuanian) and special needs upon reservation.

The museum features four major galleries, each dedicated to a different aspect of Shtetl life. The exhibition focuses on three key periods: the years between the two World Wars (1918–1939), the Second World War (1939–1945), and the first decade following the war. Rich with authentic artifacts, the exhibition tells the story of the Šeduva Jewish community and the broader Shtetl experience.

Each gallery also includes photo and video exhibits—take your time to listen to expert commentaries and watch dramatic reenactments, where actors bring historical events to life based on available information.
