On June 28, the museum hosted a concert featuring participants and distinguished guests of the 8th International Saulius Sondeckis Competition for Young Violinists.

A large audience warmly welcomed each performer with enthusiastic applause. The concert showcased the artistry of outstanding young talents: Simonas Lacroix (violin, Belgium), Maria Sokolova (cello, Lithuania), and Eloiza Maria Aubert (violin, Luxembourg). They were joined by members of the international jury: Rolanda Ginkutė (violin, Lithuania/Qatar), Jorge Gil Garcia (cello, Spain), Prof. David Geringas (cello, Lithuania/Germany), Maurizio Sciarretta (violin, Italy), and Prof. Zakhar Bron (violin, Switzerland).

At the conclusion of the concert, Dr. Regina Marozienė, Director of the Šiauliai Saulius Sondeckis School of Arts, expressed her gratitude to all the performers, the Competition's Artistic Director Nijolė Prascevičienė, the concert host Raimonda Sližienė, and Sandra Petrukonytė, Head of the Museum's Exhibitions Department.

The museum was also presented with Leonidas Melnikas' two-volume monograph, Maestro Saulius Sondeckis, Volumes I & II, dedicated to Professor Saulius Sondeckis and his family. The Sondeckis family's history is closely connected with the rescue of Jews during the Second World War. In recognition of his courage and humanitarian actions, Saulius Sondeckis' father, Jackus Sondeckis, was awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations.
