Purim: History, Meaning, and Traditions – Lecture at the Lost Shtetl Museum

On March 3, we invite you to a Purim-themed lecture and discussion at the Lost Shtetl Museum.


Purim is one of the most joyful holidays in the Jewish calendar, commemorating the dramatic events described in the Book of Esther and celebrating courage, unity, and the triumph of hope over adversity. The meaning and traditions of Purim will be presented by Rasa Stakauskaitė from the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania Judaica Research Center.


The event will also feature Rabbi Yizchak Pevzner, who will offer an opening address.
