Guide Accreditation at the Museum

This autumn, the Lost Shtetl Museum of Jewish History in Šeduva is going to open its doors to visitors and invites guides interested in leading independent tours to apply for accreditation.
Accreditation Certificate Requirements: To receive an accreditation certificate, applicants must:
Hold a valid guide qualification issued by the Lithuanian State Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy.
Participate in the museum’s accreditation program.
Successfully pass a knowledge assessment.
Steps to Obtain Accreditation: To lead independent tours at the museum, guides must:
Familiarize themselves with materials prepared by the museum’s curators on Jewish history and culture in Lithuania and worldwide.
Attend a one-day training and introductory tour at the museum (Žvejų St. 14, Šeduva).
Pass a knowledge test by conducting a demonstration tour (scheduled in advance at a mutually convenient time).
First Training Session: Qualified guides are invited to fill out the registration form and sign up for the first one-day training session, which will take place on September 8, from 10:00 to 18:00, at the Lost Shtetl Museum.
Important Notes:
The museum can accommodate up to 80 guides in the first training session.
All participants must review the curator-prepared materials, which will be published by August 25 on the museum’s website: www.lostshtetl.lt.
Guides must also familiarize themselves with the museum’s accreditation procedures, rights and responsibilities of accredited guides, and visitor service and conduct rules.
