Uneasy Audience

Art has always traveled through Lithuania, just as it does today.
In 1925, a theater troupe from Panevėžys, a major Lithuanian city, visited the small town of Šeduva and performed a couple of plays.
However, not everyone in Šeduva was pleased with the performances.
A spectator using the pseudonym 'Svečias' (Guest) later wrote in the press that it was uncomfortable to watch actors who were poorly prepared. According to him, 'The audience was uneasy and eagerly awaited the end of the performance.
Anonymous comments could be harsh even a hundred years ago.
