Snowy Days

"The trees creak and moan/ Rattling in the wind," that's what the young poets wrote in the children's magazine Žvaigždutė [Little Star] in 1928. They talked about winter -- super cold, windy, dark and unpleasant season.
Even so, winter brought much joy and special entertainment for children. For Šeduva resident Yvette Bardon it was a time to spend with the family doing fun things outside. From her very first days on earth she owned a sled. She sat on it dressed up in warm clothing and waited for her parents to pull her all over Šeduva.
When she was a bit older she loved to play in the snow with her cousin Hinda. Neither the cold nor the darkness seemed so bad after discovering such fun ways to spend the time.
